Noureddine Ezarraf (b. 1992) is a ************************************************************** from Aghmat (Morocco).</p>

My work comprises of photography, performances, installation, drawing and experimental texts.  One could consider it an ongoing exploration of the medium itself. Art and aesthetics are a strategic space for raising questions and quiet protests. I present conceptual work that not only references heritage but is also politically and socially astute.

My name means a bandit, someone who observes and seeks out caravans; a predator of caravans traversing the desert. Their fluid movement over the sand, them kissing the dunes and charming the wind, caravans coming from the deep Sahara, crossing the utopias on their way, coming maybe from Tombouctou or nowhere, or maybe  from a mirage. Perhaps they too are a mirage. Perhaps I too am a mirage… or at least an illusion: the illusion of who am I!

Ezarraf’s work is an attempt to explore the poetics and the practice of poetry, by questioning oneself on the medium, trying to go beyond the frames which define the contours of this artistic practice.----
